 *And the man died...
Never look down on anybody unless you're helping him up. Helping others is how we help ourselves.
The good Lord gave you a body that can stand most anything. It's your mind you have to convince. - Vincent Lombardi
Some few minutes ago I iniatiated a change at the danfo (bus)park-Ikeja under bridge(in Lagos state). I made Ogba-bound passengers see reason why they should not sheepishly pay a 100 NGN as fare to Ogba tonight. Until I 'revolted',every other person entered like zombies and mumus.Sooner than later the danfo drivers reduced it to 80 NGN instead of 70 NGN-because of the heavy traffic(reasonable?).At least there was a change.
The big lesson: Dont keep QUIET in the face of extortion, wickedness, oppresion,
Nigeria will be great again.God bless Nigeria!
unfavourable policies, crude and refined exploitation...You are a Voice of Hope and Change. Same happened along Yaba this evening, when we resisted the LASTMA from arresting a danfo driver unjustly and wickedly-to mainly extort. LASTMA is now nothing but a pack of uniformed rogues and extortionists. Remember evil thrives when good men keep quiet. Dont fulfill Fela's prophecy- 'I no wan die...mama dey for house...papa...wife...pikin dey for house' Say 'NO' to these ungodly elements and plunderers!!!
Remember, Soyinka's insightful and challenging words-"And the man dies in him who keeps silent in the face of tyranny"
*Nobel-laureate winner,Wole Soyinka, titled one of his bestselling books "And the man died...".
